Fun weekend!!!

Going back to Columbus is always fun. We loved living there and loved the fact that Trader Joes, Wild Oats (best vegan chocolate chip cookies EVER...although we are not vegan), Baja Fresh, and many many other things were very close to us. So we always hit up those spots when we travel back to that neck of the woods. EL told many people of her experience of ordering and then consuming a dark chocolate cookie with dark chocolate chunks in it (Can you tell it was DADDY who took her to do this? Like I would want MORE caffeine/energy flowing through that body of hers. hehe).
Anyways, we also went to THE nicest wedding I've ever been to in my life. Especially in someone's backyard----right out of the movies. It was quite fun! RD's sister babysat and we headed off for the evening. Yahoo!! I included a pic of RD and I before we headed off to the extravaganza.
But you can tell we are parents of two, cause the fact that we had to drive back to T-town last night with two lil' peanuts, and didn't arrive until 12:15 A.M. and we WEREN'T totally stressed out...that was a blessing. Just more relaxed about life and kids not sleeping when they should. EMs was seriously beat boxing, blowing bubbles, and chewing on her toes from 10:30-11:45 PM last night. She then crashed, only to be awakened by us for the transfer to her crib at 12:15. OF COURSE she was refreshed again and stayed awake until almost 1:30 AM. WHAT? Yeah----we were tired this morning for church. HeHe. EL? In her dilarious state of exhaustion and confusion, she just woke up during the transfer to her bed and decided to make up something about her foot being injured and insisted on ice, a wet washcloth, and a foot massage at 1 AM. Oh the joys....
So I think I'm going to bed. I'll be at work all day tomorrow. Preview night/Open house is tomorrow so I have a long day ahead of me. Goodnight!!!

Oh Miss El...

It's impossible not to want to share every funny thing that comes out of El's mouth. And trust me, I DO refrain.
But today as we pulled into Walgreens, El asked me where we were. I told her. She paused and then said in the most confused voice...
"But Mom...this place is for SURE not all green?! Are you sure we are at the right spot?"

Oh how funny!

This morning I went into my school in hopes to get some work done before the kids come next week. Whoah. I realized (when my alarm went off at 6:45) that I'm not ready for summer to be over yet. AND during the school year I will be already 5 minutes into my drive at 6:45 AM- yikes!
Soooo...tomorrow I am going to have a picnic lunch at a nearby park with a friend and her kids. Friday---the zoo with Nana and Kiki. I have to live up the last two free mornings of my summer with my girls! Ahhhh, I can't believe it. It has been SUCH a fun few months.

T'Was the Day...

So yesterday I awoke to two hilarious things from El's mouth.
She opened my bedroom door and said this...
"Mom. Mom. Wake up. This is crazy. I TOLD you I wanted to go to Chuckie Cheese. Can we PLEASE go there. It has been at least a year now since we've been there!"
Now why she thought of that the second she rolled out of bed, I don't know. But it made me laugh.

She then popped on my bed and I saw she had gotten another spider bite. She has horrible reactions to them and her leg gets pretty swollen. I pointed it out to her and asked her if it itched or hurt.
She said "nope, doesn't hurt. Just ANOTHER meatball I get to have on my leg!"

Meatball? What? Where did she get that...I don't know. But again, made me laugh.

Sooooo, needless to say---I took the girls to Chuckie Cheese TODAY with some friends. It was so fun. El had more fun than I could explain. We pulled in and she said, "so mom, I take it you found some chuckie cheese money, huh? I am SO GLAD."

Well, the Snow reunion Day 3 was never "blogged" but here are a few pics of that last day together. It was such a great time being with the Snow family. Loved it!!!

Snow Reunion, Day 1

Well it's 9:50 PM and there's only 5 adults here and 4 kids...only half of us are here. But it sure has been a fun day here at the Lake. Here are a few pictures to show the fun. It's been great to see/watch EL with her cousin Nathan cause they just don't ever get to see each other. But they buddied up right away. Here are some pics... Love to all and goodnight!

EM's has a friend

Forgot to put this in that last "post" a minute ago...Just a few cute pics of EM and her friend Kenna. Granted, they are only friends because Kenna's big brother and EL have been buddies since they were babies AND because of course their babysitter is one of my best friends...HEY, it's an excuse to hangout, right?! Regardless, here are a few cute pictures.
**ALSO...new song to your right!!**

More "EL sayings"

Just a few things that have cracked me up with Miss EL lately. Drivin down the street today, we pass Chucky Cheese. She says "Mom, when are you gonna stop telling me we are gonna go to Chucky Cheese soon and GO there? I mean, it's been at LEAST a week since we've gone there!" (Obviously, her understanding of time isn't quite there yet). "Will you just go get some Chucky Cheese money and take me there tomorrow?"

Also, today as we were gettin EL dressed in the bathroom, she said to me..."Mama, I just wanna smooch your face right now." She then climbs on my lap, hugs my neck SO TIGHT, then grabs my cheeks and kisses my forehead. I mean it was THE BEST!! :)

EL is pretty articulate, and always has been, so I love it love it love it when she still messes up a word or phrase, cause it's cute and it also reminds me that she's still my lil' peanut.
She calls goosebumps: goose boxes
She calls seaweed: kiwi-ed
And my favorite? She has a nickname for her lil' sis. She calls her Emsie-Ems. I just love it.

Summer is coming to an END

Oh man, can't believe it. I only have like two weeks left (not even) until school starts. We are soaking up the summer though and trying to squeeze in all the fun things we can. On Thursday, RD's mom and all his siblings, spouses, and their kids are coming up to my family's cottage at Devil's Lake. It'll be a GREAT weekend! Pray for our sanity though cause we will have 9 adults plus 6 kids all under the age of 4. YIKES! More later----I just wanted to post some pictures of some recent stuff a happenin in the Snow family. Oh and if you're wondering about the punching bag workouts---yeah, they're happening. Although let's just say I've taken 7 advil today already. It's not even 4 PM. Ugh.

Sportin the Sunglasses!!

This is EM's classic scrunch face....ALL the time we see this "look."
EM has the smile goin on...so sweet, huh?

Punching Bag What?

Yeah so Ryan got me a punching bag. With the chains, the gloves, the whole 9 yards. It's hanging in our basement right now still slightly swinging back and forth cause I just completed my first workout. Hmmmm....anyone have any pointers out there? Besides "don't break your wrists." Each time I stopped to catch my breath I watched a different "how to" video on the correct ways to do this stuff. I mean c'mon---I'm not wanting to be a boxer....I just want a good workout! :)

So this will be interesting...and hopefully the sweat will pay off. Since my knee doesn't allow me to run all that much, maybe punching a bag and kicking the air will do the job. :)
So I just wonder how many people are laughing as they read this, picturing ME boxing. Yeah, a funny site to imagine, I'm sure.
