It was literally FREEZING this morning (40's) and we were unsure about the type of day we would have. But by 10 AM the girls and I were out on the beach in our jeans and sweatshirts havin a blast. We ran up and down, racing each other. Then we built roads and pathways for our sea shells to travel upon. We played airplane and we laid on the beach and looked at the sky to see who could find a cloud. Not a cloud in the sky---not one. Perfectly blue.
The day just continued to unravel with lunch, pool time, more beach time, naps, back to the pool again...then Ryan's aunt and uncle (who live about an hour and a half north of Ft Myers) came to hang out with us for the evening. We made dinner here at the condo and hung out, it was really nice to see and be with them. Felt bad though, as they are in their upper 60's and only had one son back in the day (no girl DRAMA) so they were in for it with our clan. Geez.
Oh well, good times. :)
It was an amazingly beautiful sunset tonight though. And we have the best view of the ocean right off of our condo/balcony, so it was quite a site to see as we were eating dinner with Dee Dee and Bob tonight. Good stuff.
Quote of the day goes to Emma again.
As I was changing Griffin's 4th poopy diaper. "DUDE, Griff, you pooped again! That's nuts!" Emma: "Oh mommy, why you callin him DUDE? His name is Griffin. Dude is a little BUDDY mom, not a Griffin."
WHAT? Not sure at ALL what she meant but it sure was cute as she was convinced she made sense and knew exactly what she was talking about.
Sleepy mommy now. Gonna watch a little bit of TV and then hitting the hay. Ah.

What fun times...makes me a little warmer to think of the beach! The kids are so stinkin' sweet. I love that Ellie is reading Amelia Bedelia! Enjoy the rest of your trip and soak up some sun for those of us stuck in the frigid snowy midwest;)
