First few days of school...6th, 3rd, and kindergarten?!

Wow,  What a season. This is a weird one--a unique one. A kiddo heading off to middle school and another one starting kindergarten. And sweet Ems, growing up before me in a way that makes me more proud of her than I've ever been. I don't really know what it will feel like to go from ALWAYS having Griff with me (6 years now)...a summer of complete chaos and kids and activity...Maplewood elementary as our only pitstop...to now THIS. All 3 gone all day long.

It's interesting how much I have been looking forward to ROUTINE and structure the past 10-20 days. It's much needed for our family right now. But...now staring a school year (and after school activities) in the face, it makes me feel a whole bunch of things. I told Griffin I will cry the whole way home from school on his first day. And I did! Ha!

So proud of these three beautiful humans. They are excellent people. They whine and fight and drive us nuts sometimes. But they are the reason I am so beyond proud to say I am a MOM.
Here we go 2016-2017!

Open house night...

First day of school:

Walking out to catch the bus for middle school: day 1.

Hanging with Ellie at the bus stop---then off to her first day of 6th grade!

Griffin's first day of Kindergarten: Emma's second day of school. YIKES!

Dropped them off at the curb and had to drive away--just one little person in my car with me.  Griffin said to me: "Mom, it's going to be weird being the one getting out of the car. I don't get to drive away with you anymore." GULP.

First day of school for Grady- CDO (children's day out, at EPWORTH)
