Karate warrior!

Griffin had a karate tournament today. Ha was of course very nervous at first. It's a lot of pressure to perform all by yourself. And in front of a LOT of people. He had to go first BOTH times he was up. That was a bummer. His first event was his Kama kata. He did not place in that division but he did very well. His second performance was his kata and he got THIRD PLACE! His face was priceless because he knew that meant a trophy. This kid was beaming all day long. We are so so proud of him. Good job best little big buddy!

Week 4 construction

Week 4 was a productive week and it felt SO great just to have the drywall folks done and gone. We are so thankful for how fast this is going and simply cannot wait for what's ahead. Still can't believe how great the kids are doing in this transition. So proud of them. Grilled cheese sandwiches in the basement and lots of soup got us through our dinner time fun this week. 😎

Week 3 construction

Despite complete insanity around the house, it was SO fun to get away for a fancy night at SCC. The snowball dance was a blast. The food was amazing and time with the Harshes and Forquers is always our favorite. :)

Definitely the most annoying week thus far. Kitchen was removed---which we were told would never happen before the other one was built.  Everything slowed down. The electrician, Mike, takes a long time to get his job done. (Which is a good thing). And drywall is annoying and messy. And the guy is not a fast worker...ugh. This week and next are pretty much the worst two weeks of the process.
