AUGUST 30, 2010
Well, yesterday we officially closed on our house. It's nuts. It's done. We're actually (technically) homeless right now. What a weird feeling. The closing on our new house is in 15 days, so we're pretty excited to have that happen as well. The keys will be given to us Oct. 1. HOW EXCITING!
Life is busy right now, to say the least. The months of September and October couldn't be more packed. Ha...that's the story of our lives it seems. But now in-between the math, science, phonics lessons, soccer practice/games, dance class, mom's morning out, Friday morning Bible study with my fellow mom friends...we're going to be packing up a house and moving. OHHH and painting, taking down wallpaper...and did I mention that's in addition to nursing a baby? HeHe. I'm not complaining. It's awesome. And frankly, I wouldn't want it any other way. Life is good. God is good. He is most definitely worthy to be trusted and praised amidst the chaos.
And this morning, Ellie and I belly laughed during our science lesson. The lesson was on the sense of TASTE and we did a taste test with her blind-folded. I loved sneaking funny foods in her mouth (and gave her the most unusual breakfast in the process). It was great. Love it. Meanwhile, she called our taste buds (vocabulary word for the day) taste MUSCLES. I just love the things that come from the mouth of my babe.
Blessings!!!
And of course...a few shots of the itsy babe...

Ellie's first day of school
Sooooo...Here are the awesome things about OHVA (Ohio virtual academy), Ellie's school this year:
1. I can still do half day Kindergarten with her. This is impossible in all the districts around here.
2. Emma still has her best friend and companion around so she doesn't go crazy and nuts given this new baby in the house
3. We can travel and do what we want, when we want...as long as we have access to the internet and bring a book or two with us. :)
4. I get another year with my babe. Another year to teach, shape, prepare, correct, pray with, learn with...the list goes on. (And yet she's still learning routine and hard work. She's not allowed downstairs until she's dressed, teeth brushed, bed made. I'm so mean...)
5. AND....we get to go to the zoo on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! The first unit in Science deals with the 5 senses. We had a hayday with that at the zoo...and I got to clock that as an hour or more of attendance for the day. Perfect. Aunt Sarah, Jack, and Charlie joined us. Perfect morning...

some fun face shots
Here are some shots of the kiddos...just big smiles...that's what we get a lot of. That's amidst the whining, complaining, arguing, fussing...but still- we get big smiles. And we love 'em!!!And Ellie got to give Griffin his second bottle ever. I enjoyed a "feeding off" and Griff enjoyed some pumped breast milk. Ahhh--good times.

Snow quotes, round 2
Ellie: "Mommy, Griffin has seriously been eating for hours! Geesh, doesn't that get boring?"
Emma: "Mommy, can Griffin get chocolate milky in there too?"
Ellie: "If I wanna get bath-a-tized, can I? Is that when the Holy Spirit comes on you like it did with Jesus?" (WHOAH- that question blew my socks off!)
Me: Why not try the P90x Plyometrics video for my first workout back with the program? Oh wait...STUPID choice. Legs. Hurt. Bad.
Also, more fun house news...
We bought a house!!!!! We don't officially close on the deal until Sept. 15 but all the I's are being dotted and the T's are being crossed. We are well on our way to owning a beautiful colonial home in Sylvania. We are pumped. It's perfect for our family because it still holds onto the character and charm that we love in our current home, yet is a good size bigger and in a neighborhood we are thrilled about.
We have some wallpaper to take down and most of the rooms need to be painted, but once we get ahold of it, change some hardware and light fixtures, put my geraniums and double impatiens on the front porch and walkway, and throw our furniture (and KIDS) in it, we will be AT HOME!
Thank you Jesus for the smooth process it has been to sell--and now BUY.
Here's just a few pics of the Snow family future home...
(The grandmother looking curtains in the windows will come down right away, hehe)
